Oxford Family Counseling Institute
It is my pleasure to invite you to join us for the 18th annual Oxford Family Counseling Institute. The 2019 Oxford Institute will take place the 9th through 16th of July at St. Hilda’s College, University of Oxford. From its inception, the Oxford Institute has been designed as a forum for the building and expansion of professional relationships, intercultural friendships, and the exchange of scholarly information about couples and family therapy and counseling. The Institute brings together an international group of educators, practicing professionals, and graduate students who wish to share and learn more about marriage, dyadic relationship, and family issues. In addition to family counselors, marriage and family therapists, social workers, psychologists; the Oxford Institute includes school counselors, substance abuse counselors, and related mental health and “helping” professionals. The institute is a truly international gathering. In addition to attendees from throughout the USA, in recent years colleagues from the United Kingdom, Turkey, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Nigeria, Italy, Cyprus, Bahamas, Canada, Mexico, and China have been part of the Institute.
The Oxford Institute features outstanding presentations and provides a “cultural immersion” experience and an opportunity to expand your knowledge of contemporary English society. In order to maintain an intimate setting to facilitate the building collegial relationships and an open forum for sharing ideas, the 2019 Oxford Institute is limited to a maximum of sixty participants.
Please let us know if you have any questions. We hope you will consider joining us in the UK in July 2019.
